Why do we dance? To express emotion; to share tacit understanding with each other; to permit soul a fresh embodiment of meaning. Dance affirms and celebrates being alive, creative, and connected. It is a long-hoped-for dream to invoke the spirit of dance at THE 222 by hosting an event intended for all ages, dance backgrounds, and experience levels.
This season, we are delighted to introduce dance offerings by local movement and musical artists. Check in monthly to discover which dance genre or DJ will grace the ethereal space of the 222. Each opportunity to dance 6:30–9:30 PM, is an invitation to celebrate balance, harmony, and dance. When a dance style is featured, the evening will include a brief demonstration followed by a 30–45 minute class—then stay for the remainder of the night to dance freely and connect.
