Bridging Generations
September 27, 2026
Programmed by Jessica Felix

One at Monterey Jazz Festival and the other at THE 222 in Healdsburg. The younger generation of this group features Rico Jones on saxophone and Wallace Roney Jr. on trumpet who are both representations of promising artists of the next generation where they are forging new paths while simultaneously grounded in the jazz tradition. The elders of the of the group are David Kikoski on piano, Essiet Okon Essiet on bass, and Sylvia Cuenca on drums who will be sharing their masterly years of extensive travel around the world performing with many legendary jazz icons.
