The Art In Red
September 14, 2026
programmed by Erin Partridge
The play Red is filled with mentions of art, artists, and art movements. As a support for the production of the play Red, we will have a small art history lesson. First we will watch a short documentary about Rothko's Seagram Murals. Then we will view and discuss the other art and artists mentioned in the play. This event will be a good support for those who saw the play in the first weekend as well as for those planning to see it the subsequent weekend. This discussion is part of in-depth programming at THE 222 and includes a workshop from our Literary Programmer Denise Low: This workshop is part of in-depth programming at THE 222. Our Literary Programmer Denise Low will host a writing workshop: Red, Rothko, and You.
